Dermapen4 microneedling is a skin rejuvenation treatment that uses a pen-like device equipped with tiny needles that make controlled punctures in the skin. These punctures stimulate the skin's natural healing process and promote the production of collagen and elastin, resulting in smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin.

Dermapen4 microneedling offers a range of benefits, including reducing fine lines and wrinkles, improving skin texture and tone, minimising the appearance of scars, and reducing hyperpigmentation. It also promotes the absorption of skincare products, making them more effective.

Because Dermapen4 is minimally invasive, is safe and effective and isn’t light-based, the majority of people can undergo microneedling. Contradictions to receiving a Dermpen4 treatment are papulopustular rosacea, herpes, simplex, scleroderma, open lesions, skin cancer, warts, bacterical/fungal infections, roaccutane and haemophilia. There are other cosiderations, such as pregnancy that need to be assessed before having a Dermapen Treatment, our Dermal Therapists will assess your skin to ascertain whether you are the right candidate for this type of treatment and if not will suggest other options for you.

The number of treatments required varies depending on the individual's skin concerns and goals. Most people see results after a series of 3-6 treatments spaced about 4-6 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments may also be necessary to maintain the results.

Dermapen4 microneedling is minimally invasive and generally well-tolerated. The needling part of the treatment only takes 10-20 minutes.

After the treatment, it is common to experience some redness, swelling, and mild sensitivity in the treated area, which should subside within a few days. It is important to follow the aftercare instructions provided by your skincare professional to minimize the risk of any adverse effects.

Yes, Dermapen4 microneedling can be combined with other treatments such as chemical peels, IPL, and LED light therapy to enhance the results. It is important to consult with your skincare professional to determine the best combination of treatments for your specific skin concerns.

Depending on your skin, you will notice a little pinkness or potentially puffiness and peeling, kind of like a mild sunburn. It is crucial for the first 12 hours post treatment, to treat your skin with a little extra TLC. Avoid SPF for 12 hours directly post microneedling (so no sun exposure) and no actives (Retinol, Vitamin C, AHA’s and BHA’s). Also avoid exfoliation or peels for two weeks.
