These days, it can be really hard to decide what treatments and products you should be doing for your skin. From celebrity endorsed creams we see on the TV to the high end peels and laser treatments, it’s understandable we feel overwhelmed and confused when trying to find that one thing to fix our skin problems.

For most, this treatment is something completely unheard of, so we want to take it right back to basics for you.

Imagine a pen, then imagine at the tip of that pen a cartridge of tiny needles. Imagine you’ve had your skin well cleansed, wiped over with a medical sanitiser, then a personalised cocktail of intensely hydrating and active gel serums are applied.

Your therapist will take the tip of the pen, and glide it across the area at the same time as a tiny little motor inside the pen electronically controls the speed of the needles going in and out of your skin.

These needles are moving so quickly that it feels more like a vibration or a ‘scratchy’ feeling in some areas, although in some areas a little more, such as the forehead and the nose.

The best thing is that these needles are penetrating to such a small depth as they glide across the skin at a rapid rate of oscillation - so it’s nowhere near like having an injection!

Sound interesting? So why would we do this?

As these tiny needles enter the skin at an incredibly fast rate, they work to break up and renew any damage or trauma the skin has experienced such as acne, scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, or fragile and broken capillaries. By breaking up this damage, we see an instant smoothing effect and we can be specific to the area we are treating - meaning we can completely customise our depth and speed, dependant on each individual

But it gets even better than that! Our main aim with performing this treatment on our clients is to stimulate and produce new cells. To do that, we are creating a very mild trauma - just enough to make your skin think that if something is going to that depth, and breaking things up as it goes, then it must be a deep trauma.

Therefore, the skin we treat goes into ‘repair mode’ and starts making new fibres, cells, and pouring nutrients into the area naturally to heal.

The trick is right here though - the skin is still completely intact, with no graze, cut, burn or anything at all, but it has started healing it like there is!

It will take a few weeks before the true effects of the healing are noticeable on the skin, but instantly everything feels so much better. Plump, firm, smaller pores, smooth, refined and bright.

Acne is reduced within hours, as the minute we allow oxygen to enter the skin as the needles penetrate, it kills the bacteria as it simply cannot survive the oxygen exposure.
Scars are broken down on a deeper level and the skin rebuilds in better shape than it was before.
Pigmentation breaks up, as uneven pigment that is stuck within the layers of the skin just needs a helping hand to get out - and the best part is absolutely no heat involved, so no risk of new pigment being formed from the stimulation of heat.
